All individuals – migrant guests, staff and volunteers – over the age of two wear masks at all times while in common rooms at the Casa Alitas Welcome Center and our other facilities.

 

Upon arrival, each guest is administered a COVID-19 test. If the test is negative, individuals stay in the open areas of the shelter. If the test is positive, quarantine arrangements are made for that individual.

We provide free test kits to staff and volunteers and encourage all to test regularly. If a test result is positive for COVID-19, that team member must not return to Casa Alitas until their CDC recommended quarantine time has passed.
